Debra Lynne East, 59, of Mauriceville, Texas, passed away on January 24, 2024, at her home in Mauriceville.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 31,2024, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas. Burial will follow at Wilkinson Cemetery in Orange, Texas.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas.
Born in Jackson, Mississippi, on April 13, 1964, she was the daughter of William “Bill” Hutto and Myra Jane Taylor Hutto. Debra had a profound love for animals and dedicated her life to their well-being. Known as an animal rescuer, she went above and beyond to provide shelter, care, and love to countless furry friends in need. When Debra wasn't busy saving animals, you could often find her enjoying the tranquility of the beach. Those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with Debra will remember her vibrant spirit and larger-than-life personality. She was a true force to be reckoned with, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Myra Hutto; her grandmother, Verna Hutto; and her grandfather, O.D. Hutto.
She is survived by her father, Bill Hutto; her children, Craig Hoffpauir, Chad Hoffpauir and wife, Kelsey, and Tasha Hoffpauir; her grandchildren, Lexus Hoffpauir, Dillon Hoffpauir, Jaliyah Hoffpauir, Jaylin Hoffpauir, Kylie Hoffpauir, Harper Hoffpauir, Cooper Hoffpauir, Kyngsley Hoffpauir, and Kynzie Hoffpauir; her siblings, Denise Smith and husband, J. Wade, Danielle Zaruba and husband, Robin, Lance Hutto, and Justin Hutto and wife, Suzy; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
