Deola Soileau Silva, 86, of Beaumont, Texas, went to be with the Lord on November 3, 2020, in Beaumont.
Born in Ville Platte, Louisiana on November 18, 1933, she was the daughter of Hosea Guillory and Olivia Fusiler-Guillory. Above all else, Deola loved her family. She was a loving mother and took pride in being Maw Maw to her grandbabies. Deola enjoyed spending quiet moments reading, and not so quiet moments dancing. She was a great cook, and her rice and gravy recipe was the envy of all that had the pleasure of tasting it. Deola was a woman of faith, she loved attending church and was devout in praying the rosary. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hosea and Olivia Guillory; children, Phyllis Murphy and Robert Wayne Soileau; sisters, Ethel Dupre, Hazel Gautreaux, and LouAnna Ward.
She is survived by her children, Carl Soileau and wife Patricia of White House, Texas, Judy Ballew of Beaumont, and Janet Lopez of Beaumont; grandchildren, Shawn Soileau and wife Melissa, Angie Kowalski, Joseph Brady Jr, and Brittany Syphrett & husband Daniel; 10 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Doward Guillory of Ville Platte, Louisiana.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont.
Visitation will be held from 5-7:30 p.m.. on Friday, November 6, 2020 at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 6, 2020 at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home
