Obituary
Diane “Di” Upton, 70, of Mauriceville, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2021, at her home surrounded by family.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 10, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Huntington Long Island, New York, on June 26, 1950, she was the daughter of Glenn and Margaret Sharp. In 1969 Diane moved to Huntsville, Alabama where she would also call home. Later she moved to Orange in 1980 to be with the rest of her family. Diane worked at American Bridge as a security guard for 3 years in Orange. She also worked as a contractor, talented artist, and never hesitated to work on a vehicle. Diane raised 3 daughters as a single mother and loved them dearly. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Margaret Sharp; and sister, Sandra Kelly.
Those left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Linda Ihle of Tennessee, Tammy Justice of Mauriceville, and Sandra Justice and husband Jerry also of Mauriceville; brother, Randy Sharp of Port Arthur; sister and brother-in-law, Glenda and Stephen Granger of Orangefield; 9 grandchildren, Ashley Marks, Christina Driver, Whitney Bennett, Kurstie Court, Shandi Justice, Garrett Justice, Jaycee Bennett, Raylee Ihle, and Lacey Monceaux; as well as 13 great grandchildren.
