Dolly DeLeon
Dolly DeLeon, 80, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on July 1, 2018, in Beaumont, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 6, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City, Texas. Officiating the service will be Pastor David Logan. A eulogy will be given by Shay DeLeon. Burial will follow the service at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m.to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Dolly was born in Hawaii on December 26, 1937. She worked as a Real Estate Agent for Amy Weakly Agency. Dolly enjoyed spending time gardening, painting, and loved animals. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Delbert DeLeon and Ricky DeLeon.
She is survived by her loving husband, Atilano G. “Tilly” DeLeon; sons, Dave DeLeon, of Port Arthur and Michael DeLeon, of Bridge City, and girlfriend, Rebecca Law, of Pearland ; grandchildren, Shay DeLeon, Jason DeLeon, Leah Bell, Jamie DeLeon, Kimberly DeLeon, Courtney DeLeon, and Maykala DeLeon; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jason DeLeon, Jamie DeLeon, and Chris Bell.

We've known and loved you guys since the 1950's in Venezuela and in Bridge City. We've had more than a few memorable moments and shared some awesome times that still bring a BIG smile to our faces. Sweet Dolly, my heart was broken today to hear of your passing. Only 6 days ago Dan and I stopped in to see you before driving back to Wyoming. You and Tilly we're so gracious, warm and welcoming of us. We shared memories and laughed together in spite of you having a bad day physically. Even on bad days you were an encouragement. You were always positive, had a smile and only had good things to say about others. I loved how you praised Tilly for taking great care of you and how you loved your boys. You suffered great loss in this life and still maintained a happy heart. You were a great example to us all on how to live life to the fullest. It has been my privilege and honor to know and love you and to experience your love for me. Us kids loved watching you dance so long ago in Venezuela. Again, showing us your joy for life. I pray your best years are ahead of you dancing in heaven in God's grace and mercy. Thank you for loving our family so faithfully over all these years. We will miss you terribly but remember you with deep love and respect. Tilly, David and Michael - thank you for sharing Miss Dolly with us and know we are praying for each one of you. I am so sad to hear that Dolly has passed on. I will miss her so much and am SO thankful that I was able to spend time with Tilly & Dolly this past April. We had a great time that day! The things I will always remember and cherish about Dolly are: * how much she loved life, * how she always had encouraging, uplifting words for me and for others, * the great friend that she & Tilly have always been to our family, especially to Mom & Dad (60+ years!!) * that in spite of all the struggles in her life, she maintained a contagious laugh and engaging outlook on life. It is sad to know that I won't hear her voice or her laugh again in this life...but then, there is eternity, and I hope to see her there. Dolly, go with and be with God the Father and Jesus Christ His Son! Life everlasting and joy. Tilly, Dave, and Michael: I am so sorry for your loss.
