Doyle Winn Enloe Jr.
Doyle Winn Enloe Jr. was born to Doyle Winn Enloe Sr. and Sarah Ann Wilburn Cruse on September 13, 1962, in Colorado City, Texas. He passed away on Monday, July 15th, 2024, in Houston, Texas. Doyle Winn Enloe Jr. was his name but those who knew him and loved him called him Winn. He was a proud graduate from Timpson High School in 1980. Later, graduating from the Pipe Fitter Local 195 Apprentice Program, he worked as a journeyman pipe fitter and welder in that line of work for a time in his life. Winn lived his last years at Optimist Village where he was always helping others. He loved servanthood. He enjoyed taking care of his neighbors by cooking for them and taking out their trash. He was always giving to others…literally the shirt off his back or his last $20. Winn loved Jesus, his family, and the Chicago Bears... in that order. A diehard sports fan, he once pitched a no hitter and reminded us of it often! He was an avid fisherman and shared that skill with many people, young and old, providing them with poles and bait even if he had to give up his own. He was a proud uncle to his nieces, nephews, and his great nieces and nephews. He would make a point to let us know how much he loved “His Family.”
Winn struggled with mental health for many years but on July 15th, 2024, God rescued him from this battle, and he was healed of this disease.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, his mom, Sarah Cruse, his uncle JB, and his brother, Dustin Cruse.
He survived by his dad, Doyle Enloe Sr., wife Carolyn Enloe, her son, daughters, and their families; Dan Cruse, his sons, and their families; his sister, Hope Lummus, husband Jeff Lummus, their four girls and their families.
