Funeral services for Donald Jay ?Don? Corbello, 81, of Beaumont will be held Friday, September 14, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at the North End Baptist Church with Dr. Robert Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday, September 13 between 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.
Mr. Corbello was born September 5, 1926, to Jay Newton and Gladys Mary Corbello and passed away September 12, 2007 in Beaumont, Texas.
He loved his family, trail rides and stock car races. He was in the glass business for 65 years, starting Cardinal Glass Company in 1985. He was a member of the Beaumont Founders Lions Club, YMBL, Jaycees, and served on the Board of Directors with the Beaumont Salvation Army. Mr. Corbello served in the Navy on board the USS Bunker Hill during WWII.
Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Mildred Corbello, daughters Donna Corbello of Georgetown, Debbie King of Beaumont, and Dee Booker of Beaumont; son, David Corbello and wife Karen of Sour Lake; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and brother Daryl Corbello and wife Terri of Dallas. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Dorothy Jean.
