Donald B. Linscomb, 91, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2008, at the Pinehurst Nursing Home in Orange.
Funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, January 12, 2008 at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Brother Ed Rawls, pastor of Silver Oaks Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Linscomb was born October 8, 1916, to the late Isaiah and Frances Morrison Linscomb, pioneer settlers of Orange County, Texas
Donald served during WWII in the US Army Air Corp. He retired from the Orange Fire Department after 21 years and was a member of the 49th Fire Fighter Squadron Association.
He was also preceded in death on October 27, 1990, of his late wife, Kathryn B. Linscomb, who he married in 1946; his brother, Garland A. Linscomb, his two sisters, Corinne Dukes and Clora Arledge.
He is survived by a special nephew, Walker Linscomb, one sister in law, Lavee Spector, nieces Winona Gibson, Yvonne Wiggins and Zora Beth Lindley, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews and friends.
