Donald Wade Perkins, 62, of Orange, passed away on September 16, 2021, in Port Arthur.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 20, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Josh of First Baptist Church in Orange. Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks Cemetery.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Monday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas, on February 8, 1959, he was the son of JD Perkins and Annie (Peco) Perkins. Donald was very proud of his 40 years of work with Sabine River Authority. He was a hard worker and after long hours of working during the week he would then fix things around the house. Donald was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandbabies who called him “CawCaw” and he never missed any of their practices or games. Donald was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, JD Perkins; and father in law, Bobby Denham.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Melissa Perkins; mother, Annie Perkins; mother-in-law Mary Denham; children, Tyler Perkins and wife Krista and Hunter Perkins; grandchildren, Avery and Connor Perkins all of Orange; siblings, Bruce Perkins of Kirbyville, Elizabeth Hudson and husband Conrad of Deweyville, and Dianna Simmons of Orange; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
