Donald Peter Brown

Donald Peter Brown, 80, died October 17, 2008, in Orange, Texas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, October 20, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Orange. Reverend Joseph P. Daleo will officiate. Entombment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Orange. Visitation will be Sunday, October 19, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, temporarily located at 1408 W. Park, in the Park Avenue Methodist Church. There will be a rosary Sunday, October 19 at 6:00 p.m. at Claybar Funeral Home.

Mr. Brown was born October 7, 1928 in Noonan, ND to Jacob G. and Lilla Radtke Brown. Mr. Brown was a member of St. Mary's Church Parrish Knights of Columbus and was a carpenter with Carpenter's Local 2007. He enjoyed building model sail ships and he taught prisoners at the Orange County jail how to work with wood. He also volunteered with the Heritage House Museum for 4 years.

Mr. Brown is preceded in death by a son, Ronald Boo Boo Brown. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Audrey M. Brown; sons Steve Brown and wife, Cheryl, Kenneth Joe Brown, and Alan Ray Brown Sr. He is also survived by a daughter, Ramona F. Prejean and husband, John; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Allan Ray Bubba Brown, Raymond Brown, Robert Brown, Terry Duke, Bobby Payne, and Mike Owens. Honorary Pall Bearers will be Jonathan Bonvillion, Christopher Burnitt, Michael Acosta, Brogan Brown and Dallen Tarver.
