Donald Roger Peveto

Donald Roger Peveto, 72, of Orange, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014, at his home.

Funeral services will be 2pm, Sunday, January 5, 2014, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Ed Rawls of Silver Oaks Baptist Church in Orange. Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Haven of Rest Crematory. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Wesson, Earl Holms, Johnny Miller, Bill Pitcher, Jack Peveto, and Louis Peveto.

Visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm, Saturday at the funeral home.

Born in Orange, Texas on July 10, 1941, Donald was the son of Rubin Peveto and Gladys (Wilson) Peveto. He served in the United States Air Force and later retired from Chevron as an operator. Donald was also a member of Silver Oaks Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge 126 AF and AM.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara A. Peveto; parents; and two brothers, Johnny Norwood and Claude “Sam” Peveto.

Donald is survived by his children, Deborah Miller and husband, Rodney of Mauriceville, Jeanne Swinney and husband, David of Deweyville, Michael Johnson and wife, Lori of Bridge City, Donna Peveto of Coleman, Lyndon “Skeet” Johnson and wife, Martha of Mauriceville, Debra Hughes of Cypress; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and siblings, Louis, Jack, Norma, Ruby, Louise, and Evelyn.
