Donna Sawyer Worthen, 76, of Orange died Monday, September 8, 2008, at Southeast Texas Medical Center.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 11, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Reverend David Milner of Calvary Baptist Church in Orange will officiate. Entombment will follow at the Orange Forest Lawn Mausoleum.
Visitation will be 5:00-9:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Donna was born October 14, 1931, in Mexia, TX to Douglas Earl and Ruth Standford Sawyer.
She was a housewife and she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Geland Worthen and two brothers.
Donna is survived by her husband, Johnny Worthen, daughter, Meritta Taylor of Orange; grandchildren, Bryan Worthen, Lydia Broussard, Shannel Jenkins, Meritta Dawn Taylor, Tasha Taylor, Jimmy Owens and Monica Smith; ten great grandchildren; and sisters, Tommie Hayes and husband Robert of Nederland and Gail Emfinger and husband Bill of Vidor.
