Born in Mauriceville, Texas, on September 30, 1928, she was the daughter of Earl and Grace (Sanders) Peveto. Doris graduated from Mauriceville High School, where she attended all her school years. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and was a member of First Baptist Church Mauriceville for many years. Doris enjoyed her daily bible reading and prayer and mentioned each family member by name during her daily prayer time. Doris was a fantastic cook and loved to cook each family their favorite recipes. She later married the love of her life, Dalton Joseph Hebert on March 29, 1947. They were married for 47 years until his passing. Doris loved her family more than life itself and was the best mom and nanny to her grandchildren. She would often tell each grandchild and great grandchild that they were her “favorite” with a cute little wink, making each one feel that they were actually her favorite. The truth was that her heart was so full of love that each one was her favorite. Doris devoted her life to taking care of others and left an impact on many lives. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Grace Peveto; loving husband, Dalton Hebert; and siblings, Marie Stephenson, Joe G. Peveto, and Bonnie Scott.
She is survived by her sister, Ann Bennett; children, Sharon Whitton and husband Harold and Randy Hebert and wife Becky; grandchildren, Crystal Heigley and husband Doug, Allyson Butler and husband Shawn, Cody Hebert and wife Kelly, Landon Hebert, Carson Hebert and wife Shannon; great grandchildren, Easton Heigley, Shalea Heigley, Kyler Heigley, Bethany Butler Linn and husband Laramie, Brielle Butler, Rylee Hebert, Kenzee Hebert, Ryken Hebert, Connor Hebert, Kendall Hebert, and Grayson Hebert; special friend, Anita Block; and numerous nieces and nephews.
