Doris Marie Hebert Kamp, 85, of Beaumont Texas passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2009 after a brief illness. She was born on May 16, 1924. She was greeted by her heavenly father and her husband of 48 years, Franklin Peter Kamp, Sr.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2009 at Claybar Kelly Watkins Funeral Home beginning at 5pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 27, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Christian Fellowship Worship Center, 3950 Pointe Parkway off of Folsom Road in Beaumont, Texas with burial following the service at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Beaumont, Texas
She will be lovingly remembered as a Proverbs 31 mother by her four sons and their wives—Frank and Melody of McKinney, Texas; Rick and Pam of Channelview; Mike and Jada of Beaumont and Scott and Vicki of Columbia, TN; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and one on the way. Doris is also survived by her brother, D.M. "Dee" Hebert and his wife Billie Jean, her sister-in-law Katherine Hebert and a host of nephews, nieces and friends.
Doris, or Grandma as she was lovingly referred to by many, along with her husband were owners for many years of Kamp's Junction Café and Kiddie Park where she enjoyed cooking and visiting with the patrons and bringing many memorable birthday parties to children from our area.
She will be carried to her final resting place by her grandsons.
