Doris Faye McCauley, 85, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on August 29, 2019.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 8, 2019, at Woodland Baptist Church in Beaumont. Officiating will be Dr. David Appleby. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, September 7, 2019, at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont.
Mrs. McCauley was born in Beaumont, Texas, on December 21, 1933, to Lester and Leona Leviness Reid. She was an office assistant for the Beaumont Municipal Court system along with other positions she held. Mrs. McCauley was a longtime member of Woodland Baptist Church where her services will be held. She loved playing cards, dominoes and games and was a friend to so very many people. One of her most precious attributes was the love she had for kids, all kids, to them she was “Granny.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Edward Conway McCauley, Sr., her parents, Lester and Leona Reid, a daughter, Dana Lee Adams and her brothers, Reagan and Arnold Reid.
She is survived by her sons, James Patton, of Beaumont and Edward Conway McCauley, Jr. and his wife, Marcia, of Evadale; grandchildren, Jake Alan McCauley and his partner, Chris Ruggerio and Shelby Lynn Calhoon and her husband Jeffery Calhoon, Sr., great-grandchildren, Nora and Jeffery Calhoon, Jr., and many other children who called her “Granny”.
