Dorothy Gunstream, 82, of Orange, died Friday, March 7, 2008.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 10, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Rob Fisher of First United Methodist Church in Orange.
Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.
Dorothy was born on March 11, 1925, in Moss Point, Mississippi. She was the daughter of Gilbert and Velda Brown. Mrs. Gunstream retired from Koch Industries in Orange as a personnel manager. She was a former Secretary of Girls Haven, Orange, a member of First United Methodist Church since 1939, and Associate Member of Navy Enlisted Reserve Association. Dorothy loved family gatherings, traveling, working in her yard, and enjoyed her great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Velda Brown; sister, Mrs. Ethel Hicks; and nieces, Sarah Grove and Linda Burris.
Those left to cherish her memory are her spouse of 57 years, Orys C. Gunstream, Jr.; son, Chris W. Gunstream; grandson, Patrick W. Gunstream; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Rene Fitzgerald; nieces and nephews, Stefan and Kristie Grove and family, Brent and Angela Burris and family, and Phillip and Kelli Smith and family; and special neighbors, Lon and Diana Craft.
Serving as pallbearers are John Martin, Lon Craft, Swede Anderson, Brent Burris, Stefan Grove, Phillip Smith, Will Fitzgerald, and Van Fitzgerald.
Honorary pallbearers are John Weirich and Lynard Snyder.
