Dorothy Jean Murphy, 72, of Orange died Thursday, October 9, 2008, at Harbor Hospital of Southeast Texas.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 13, 2008, at the temporary location for Claybar Funeral Home in Orange at 1408 West Park Ave.
Mr. Chris McGowan will officiate. Interment will be at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.
Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
Dorothy was born November 27, 1935, in Silsbee to Glynn Reeks and Gladys I. Ward Farris.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her daughter, Nina Bess and husband Michael and son, Dalton Murphy, both of Orange; grandchildren, Joshua Murphy, Shanda Greiss, Sam Bess and Cypress Murphy; five great grandchildren; sister, Glenda McGowan and brother in law Chris McGowan, both of Cape Girardeau, MO.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Bess, Joshua Murphy, Dalton Murphy, Sam Bess, Chris McGowan and Lane DuPree.
