Dorothy Albarado Knight, 83, of Beaumont passed away March 25, 2009 at Hermann Memorial Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
There will be a gathering of family and friends, Friday, March 27, 2009 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Claybar Kelley Watkins Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Scott, LA. A graveside will follow at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery.
Mrs. Knight was born April 18, 1925 in Scott, LA to Oldus and Edith Domingue Albarado. She was married to James Kirby Knight and was a beautician who owned her own shop in Beaumont, TX. She was also a member of St. Judes Catholic Church in Beaumont, TX where she was very active.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Kirby Knight and half brother, Alan Jenkins.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Glynn and Dorris Knight of Cypress and grandchildren, Jeff Knight and wife Bonnie of Beaumont; Brian Knight and wife Erica and Greg Knight, both of Cypress. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Justin Knight, Kaleb Knight, Jace Knight, Katherine Knight and Kayleigh Brooke Knight; cousin Priscilla Duhon and husband Ray and nephew, Jesse Domingue.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Knight, Brian Knight, Greg Knight, Ray Duhon, Carson Smith and Justin Knight.
