Dorothy “Ann” McCarver, 73, of Orange, passed away on December 8, 2017, in Vidor.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at St. Maurice Catholic Church in Mauriceville. Officiating will be Father Meeks. Burial will follow at The Cemetery in Mauriceville.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a Rosary at 6 p.m., Monday, December 11, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Abbeville, Louisiana, on December 21, 1943, she was the daughter of Louis Joseph Richard and Allie (LeBeouf) Richard. Family was always the most important thing to Ann. She enjoyed eating, fishing, and playing pool. She loved to dance to French and Country music. Wherever Ann went you could find warmth, love and laughter. She will be dearly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Allie Richard; husband, Eddie McCarver, Sr.; and Angela, Winifred and Jerald, Jr.’s father, Jerald David Peacock, Sr.
She is survived by her daughters, Angela Marie Cormier and husband Randall of Newton, Winifred Lynn Elmore of Newton, and Rebecca Sue Smith and husband Jason of Mauriceville; son, Jerald David Peacock, Jr. of Buna; grandchildren, Steven Paul Richardson, Alvin Keith Richardson and wife Hollie, Timothy Lynn Richardson, Brianna Marie Richardson, Bobby Wayne Elmore and wife Samantha, Verna Lynn Ingle, Erica Nicole Verdejo and husband Moises, Tristayn Allen Smith, and Jaida Ann Smith; great-grandchildren, Ian, Xander, Xane, Bryson, Brooklyn, Destiny, Matthew, Aaron, Sophia and one more on the way; sisters, Jane LeBlanc of Mauriceville, Patsy LeBlanc of Vidor, and Jessica Granger and husband Larry of Baytown; four nieces; three nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
