Dorris Norwood, 89, a 58-year resident of Bridge City, passed away February 25, 2024, in Tomball Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Mark Bunch. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 1, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Dorris was born in St. Mary’s Hospital in Port Arthur, Texas, on June 28, 1934. She was a loyal member of St. Paul Methodist Church since 1964. Dorris graduated with the Port Neches class of 1952 where close lifelong friends were made. Dorris really enjoyed being a member of the “Lunch Bunch” which is a group of girlfriends that can still be seen frequenting the area restaurants.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Euel Norwood, parents Payton and Maude White; grandson, Devin Dodge; and sister, Bobbie Greenwell. She is survived by children, Rynda Divers and husband, Bruce of Cypress, Mark Norwood of Houston; grandchild, Wendy Kravetz of Cedar Park; six great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, and brother Larry White.
