On May 12, 2013, Dr. John E. Wade, III, age 60, of Joplin, MO passed from this earth.
John was a servant of God, loving husband, father, son & physician. He was a student of knowledge, a true renaissance man who loved his family, animals, his country and community. He brought joy to those who were around him.
John Edward Wade was born in Dallas, Texas, on June 5, 1952 to John E. Wade, Jr. & Bobbie Cherry Wade. He grew up in Orange TX, graduating from Stark High School in 1970. He then attended Lamar University where he earned a degree in Biology, with High Honors, before going on to medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio where he earned his M.D. Following medical school, he completed his residency training in Psychiatry and served his country in the US Air Force, receiving the Air Force Commendation Medal. Dr. Wade was in practice for many years, greatly caring for his patients. He touched many lives & always wanted to make a difference.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Tracy, of Joplin, MO; his son, Christopher Wade, of Austin, TX; and two grandchildren, Harper and Cole Wade, of Austin TX He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. John E Wade Jr. Bobbie, of Orange TX; sisters, Cherry Wade of Arlington, TX, Mary Jane Stewart, Orange TX, Nancy Stark, Orange TX; numerous nieces and nephews & his beloved pets.
Visitation will be held at Claybar Funeral Home, Orange TX on Saturday, May 18, 2013, 12pm-2pm, with services at 2pm. A Celebration of Life will be held in Joplin, MO at a later date.
