Dunkin Mack Dunkin, 89, of Orange, Texas, passed away on December 9, 2017, in Port Arthur, Texas.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at Dunkin Cemetery in Zavalla, Texas. Officiating will be Mr. John Sonnier.
Born in Angelina County, Texas, on August 29, 1928, he was the son of Emmett Payton Dunkin and Nancy Allie Fara (Welch) Dunkin. Mack was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War. He worked as a boilermaker at Levingston Shipbuilding in Orange. Mack faithfully attended 9th and Elm Church of Christ and was an avid West Orange- Stark Mustangs Football fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Allie Dunkin; siblings, Pauline Beaird, Denman Dunkin, Ruth Kirkland, Harrison Dunkin, Mildred Bealer, Dorothy Shoffit, George Dunkin, Ollie Thrailkill, Josephine Hewitt, Allie Ingram and Fara Doggett.
He is survived by his sisters, Sarah McNamara of Orange, and Ruby Abbey of Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the 9th and Elm Church of Christ, 501 9th Street, Orange, TX 77630.
Services are under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
