Eamlie Posey Landry, 77, of Orange, Texas, passed away on September 20, 2024, at her home in Orange. 

 Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Deacon Willie Posey. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Orange.

 Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

 Born in Crowley, Louisiana, on September 30, 1946, she was the daughter of Raymond Delane Posey and Oza Laverne Posey. Eamlie devoted her life to nurturing others, both professionally and personally. She served as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Baptist Hospital in Orange, where her dedication shone through in her care for patients. Eamlie’s life was deeply rooted in her faith, and she was a proud member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Her spirituality was a guiding force that influenced her daily life and the lives of those around her. Beyond her professional commitment and spiritual devotion, Eamlie had a vibrant personality that endeared her to family and friends alike. Known affectionately as “Memaw Red” to her grandchildren, she embraced her role as a grandmother with an unparalleled enthusiasm and warmth. She was an excellent grandmother. Eamlie had many hobbies and would spend countless hours crocheting, crafting, and cooking, sharing her creative spirit and love through every project and meal. Eamlie also cherished moments spent fishing, where she found peace and joy in nature. Eamlie leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and an unwavering devotion to her faith and family. She will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

 She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Oza Posey; her husband, Roger Dale Landry I; her sister, Marylou Gravelle; her brother, Dewayne Posey; and her grandchild, Dylan Stewart.

 She is survived by her children, Allen Landry and wife, Krista of Arkansas, Bryan Landry of Orange, Roger Landry II of Orange, Faron Landry of Orange, and Polly Bryant of Orange; her sister, Lillian Posey Wagner and husband, Ron of Hemphill; her brothers, Thomas Posey and wife, Linda of Orange, and Willie Posey and wife, Betty of Port Arthur; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous other loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

 Serving as pallbearers will be Ray Posey, Kenneth Mouton, Jerry Landry, Logan Landry, Stephen Landry, and Clay Landry. Honorary pallbearers are Allen Landry, Bryan Landry, Dale Landry, Faron Landry, Chris Landry, John Dominguez, Brycen Landry, and Quori Jenkins.
