Graveside services for Earl Jay Burton, 84, of Vidor, TX, will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Warren Cemetery in Warren, Texas with Pastor Terry Wright officiating. There will be a visitation from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.
Mr. Burton was born March 17, 1925 in Beaumont, TX to William Jay and Ella Estelle Burton and passed away in Beaumont on March 22, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bobby Ray Burton, and sister, Willie Turnipseed.
Mr. Burton is survived by his brother, Rev. James Burton and wife, Mary, of Beaumont; nephew, Jim Burton, of Lumberton; nieces, Melissa Dudley of Houston and Molly DeMaio of Carlsbad, CA; five great-nieces and one great-nephew.
