Eddie Purifoy, 69, of Orange, passed away on September 28, 2017, in Orange.
Funeral services will be 10:00, Monday, October 2, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Darrell Segura of First Baptist Church in Bridge City. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sunday, October 1, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in El Dorado, Arkansas, on October 11, 1947, he was the son of Edwin Louis Purifoy, Sr. and Lena Rae (Pickering) Purifoy. Eddie was a retired pharmacist for Woodland Heights Hospital in Lufkin, TX. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Beth Purifoy of Mauriceville, TX; children, Todd Purifoy and wife, Kim, of Crandall, TX, Melanie Claybar and husband, Lannie, of Orange, TX, Ben Purifoy and wife, Erin, of Orange, TX, and Brad Huckabay and wife, Julie, of Temple, TX; step-mother, Mildred Purifoy, of Bridge City, TX; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and siblings, Rusty Purifoy and wife, Holly, of League City, TX, and Edwina Billings and husband, Bubba, of Kendell, NY.
Serving as pallbearers will be Todd Purifoy, Ben Purifoy, Brad Huckabay, Lannie Claybar, Jeff Woodard, and Brad Lapeyrolerie.
