Eddie Ray, 13, a lifelong resident of Orange, died, Thursday, September 13, 2007.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 19, 2007, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange, with interment following at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. ? 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at the funeral home.
Born March 31, 1994 in Port Arthur, Eddie is the son of Johnny Paul Ray and Dawn Lyn James.
Eddie was a student at West Orange Middle School and was involved in football and band. He enjoyed skateboarding, hunting, fishing and racing dirt bikes.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Paul Ray and his great-grandparents, Loyd and Sibyl Ray.
Eddie is survived by his father and stepmother, Johnny and Misty Ray, his Mother and stepfather , Dawn and Chris Willis, grandparents, Shirley Sellers of Bridge City, Karen and Karl Wickham of Newcastle Delaware, George and Stephanie James of Orangefield, and Stephen and Lisa Willis of Bridge City.
Also surviving are his great-grandparents Bobby Jo and Geraldine Willis, Arthur and Mildred Foerst of Lakeside, California, Mavis and Ken Worsham of Orange, David and Mary Allensworth of Warren, his sisters; Karly Ray, Triniti Willis, Kaitlyn Willis and brother, Braddock Willis.
Serving as pallbearers will be Avery Burke, Brad Neel, Lloyd Laughlin, Randy Hopson and Thomas Gore.
