Edmon Lee Nichols, 78, of Mauriceville, died Wednesday, February 13, 2008, at his residence.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 16, 2008, at St. Maurice Catholic Church in Mauriceville. Reverend Delphyn Meeks will officiate. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m., Friday, with a Wake Service at 7:30 p.m. at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange.
Edmon was born August 18, 1929, in Corsicana, TX, to Edmon and Viola McCain Nichols.
He was retired from Boilermakers Local No. 587 in Orange.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jean Nichols.
He is survived by his daughter Denise and husband Dr. Albert Corne of Lafayette, LA; sisters Sybil Mason and Katy Purifoy and husband Durwood; fifteen nieces and nephews and their children.
Serving as pallbearers will be Guy Pico, Casey Pico, Rick Stevens, Arlie Lapeyrolerie, Stephen Tinsely and Matt Stanley.
