Edna Mae Wilkerson, 76, of Orange, died Thursday, September 10, 2009, at her residence.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 14, 2009, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange, with the Reverend David Turner, pastor of Little Cypress Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wilkerson was born in Mobile, Alabama on August 8, 1933. She was a homemaker, floral designer and member of Little Cypress Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Anthony Smith; mother, Bessie Kirvin Smith; step father, Morgan Smith; step mother, Rachel Lee Show; husband, Ray Leon Wilkerson; sister, Geraldine Horn; and brothers, Ted and Newton Smith.
Mrs. Wilkerson is survived by her daughters, Linda Tinsley of Orange, Wanda Baldridge of Hideaway, Texas, Arnita Minton of Mt. Ida, Arkansas; sons, Ray Edward Wilkerson and Kendal Bryant Wilkerson, both of Orange; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Also surviving are her brothers, Gerald Smith of Mississippi, Jim Smith and Terry Smith, both of Alabama; and sister, Emma Lavinia Larson of Florida.
