Edna “Rena” Peddy, 75, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on July 31, 2016, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at Pecan Acres Baptist Church in Vidor. Officiating will be Reverend Paul Fregia. Burial will follow at Wilkinson Cemetery in Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Pecan Acres Baptist Church in Vidor.

Born in Coushatta, Louisiana, on October 13, 1940, she was the daughter of George Wesley Williamson, Jr. and Lila Louise Williamson (Moreno). Edna was a member of Pecan Acres Baptist Church and was involved in their women’s group. She loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed watching them play sports. Edna was a very crafty person who liked cross-stitching, scrapbooking, and making things. She also enjoyed fishing, traveling, and playing bingo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Randall Peddy; sisters, Georgia Louise Carter, Thelma White, Audrey Janise Block, and Marie Williamson; and her brothers, Marshall Williamson, David Sheridan Williamson, Joseph Robert Williamson, William Wesley Williamson, Ray Sheridan Williamson, and James Douglas Williamson.

Edna is survived by her children, Katherine Henry and husband Rex, of Canyon Lake, William Randall Peddy, Jr. and fiancé Jamie Burt, of Pasadena, George Luther Peddy and wife Linda, of San Antonio, Danny Joe Peddy and wife Regina, of Vidor, and Allen Ray Peddy and wife Jennifer, of Vidor; 16 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, James Martin Williamson, of Vinton, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Williamson, Kevin Williamson, George Wesley Williamson, Nathan Peddy, Cord Fling, and Mahlon Butler. Honorary pallbearers are Colton Peddy, Tucker Peddy, and Rhett Peddy.
