Obituary
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 17, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City, Texas. Officiating will be Mr. Kenneth Powell. Burial will follow the service at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on January 30, 1951, he was the son of Edwin Oliver Martin, Sr. and Shirley (Romero) Martin. Edwin was a maintenance supervisor at Chevron for 25 years. He enjoyed coaching little league teams and working in the nursery with the little babies at Amelia Baptist Church in Beaumont. Edwin loved animals and like spending time fishing and hunting. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Shirley Martin.
He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years and one true love, Bonnie Martin; children, Kristy Condon and husband Bill, of Houston, Stacey Graham and husband Fergus, of Glasgow, Scotland, Tammy Martin and fiancé Mark Martinez, of Brookshire, Laurie Smith, of Washington, Tammy Smith, of Bridge City, and Catherine Hays, of Idaho; grandchildren, Lane Hawley, Allison Hawley, Raven Hawley, Christan Hawley, Andrew Graham, Abigail Jorden, Cooper Graham, Lanae Martinez, Darby Martinez, Christina Smith, Gerald Smith, Richard Mitchum, David Mitchum, Michelle Marquez, Miguel Marquez, Christopher Hays, Catrina Hays, and Matthew Hays; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Carolyn Vincent and husband Joe, Michael Martin, and Shawn Martin and wife Vali; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
