Effie Eve "LuLu" Gregg

Effie Eve "LuLu" Gregg, 74, of Orange, died Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10am, Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at St. Mary Catholic Church. Officiating will be Father Joseph Daleo. Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will be from 5pm to 9pm, Monday at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. A Rosary will be recited at 7pm by Deacon Hazen Kenney.
Born in Kaplan, Louisiana, on January 3, 1939, Effie was the daughter of Obray Fontenot and Elda Marie "Shune" Roach Fontenot. She was employed at Equitable Bag for many years and was involved in automotive care for several businesses in the area. Effie was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Russell Gregg. Effie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Jennifer Gregg of Canyon, Texas; three grandchildren, Evan Daley Gregg, Joseph Keaton Gregg, and Sailor Bleu Gregg; sisters and brothers-in-law, Bertha and Jack Barron of Vidor, Eva and Ross Smith of Bridge City; nieces, nephews, and other family.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital; 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, Tennessee 38105; 901 495-3300; www.stjude.org .
