May 27, 1917 — February 15, 2015

Elaine Smith Shell Williamson was born May 27, 1917 in Tishomingo, Mississippi and passed away February 15, 2015 in Beaumont. She was the youngest of seven children born to Calvin and Evie Smith. As a young woman she worked at Douglas Aircraft Corporation. She moved to Beaumont in the early fifties and married her first husband, Jack McKinney.

Upon moving to Beaumont, she worked as a secretary for First National Bank for many years. After Jack’s death, she married Jack Shell. They were faithful members of First United Methodist Church of Beaumont. Elaine has been a faithful member since 1954 and was active in many church ministries. She was a member of the Faith Questers Class and was dearly loved and highly regarded by her church family and all those who knew her.

Elaine enjoyed visiting with shut-ins and nursing home residents, many of whom were blessed to receive one of her blueberry pound cakes.

In 1994, finding themselves both widowed, Elaine married Moody Williamson, a church friend and member of her Sunday School class. Both continued to be active, dedicated members at First United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husbands and all of her siblings. She is survived by her niece, Emmie Lou Brunson of Oxford, Mississippi; nephew, Norm Jones of Crystal Lake, Illinois; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
