Eleanor “Elea” Denise Kaufmann, 53, of Orange, Texas, passed away on September 15, 2019, in Beaumont, Texas.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on November 27, 1965, she was the daughter of William Edward Wilson, Jr. and Rebecca Ann (Canady) Wilson. Elea was the full time caretaker for her boys when they were growing up and she cherished the memories they made together. She was a loving wife and a wonderful mother who was always there for her family. Elea was known to pull pranks every once in a while. She was strong-willed, sweet, and always wanting to lend a helping hand. Elea will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Wilson and Rebecca Duncan; her granddaughter, Audrey Gale Bartholamew; her grandparents, Zenobia and William Edward Wilson, Sr., and Tom and Bonnie Canady; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, John and Lisa Lee.
She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Michael Kaufmann of Orange; her children, Diana Sue Kaufmann and fiancé Patrick Bartholamew, Mathew David Kaufmann, Charles Lewis Kaufmann, and Shane Kaufmann, all of Orange; her step-father, Kevin Duncan; her grandchildren, Abbigale Nicole Kaufmann Turner, Rosalie Ann Bartholamew, and Maggie Grace Bartholamew; her nephews, Steven Joseph Williams and Christopher Kaufmann; her sister, Suzann Williams; her brother-in-law, Urban John Kaufmann, Jr.; and many other loving nieces, nephews, and family members.
Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at Outlaw Bible Church in Bridge City, Texas.
