Elia Salgado, 71, of Beaumont, passed away on February 5, 2022, in Beaumont.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Cristo Rey Church in Beaumont. Burial will follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery in Beaumont.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a rosary beginning at 5:00 p.m., Monday, February 14, 2022, at Claybar Kelley Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont.
Born in Oxtotitlan, Guerrero, on November 22, 1950, she was the daughter of Lazaro Salgado Brito and Francisca Salgado. Elia loved her family deeply and dedicated her entire life to taking care of them. She loved to dote on her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was so proud of each and everyone of them. Elia was an incredible cook, often cooking big, delicious meal to serve her whole family. She was known for her Chiles Reillenos. Elia was the kindest, most positive person, always singing and dancing and in good spirits. She was so special to her family and will be deeply missed in the hearts of all who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lazaro and Francisca; son, Noe Reyna Salgado; and grandchildren, Eduardo Reyna.
She is survived by her loving husband, Marino Reyna Santana; children, Teresa Reyna Salgado and husband Oscar Lopez, Marino Reyna Salgado, Araceli Reyna Salgado and husband Alfredo Vargas, Carmela Reyna Salgado and husband Alberto Salgado, David Reyna Salgado and wife Raquel De La Torre Reyna, and Felipe Reyna Salgado and wife Daniella Reyna; 17 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildre; four sisters; and one brother.
