Elizabeth Ann Slack
Elizabeth Ann Slack, 73, of Orange, Texas, passed away on September 25, 2018, in Beaumont, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Lynn Ashcraft. Burial will follow the service at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in Orange.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas, on February 14, 1945, she was the daughter of Alton T. Cruse and Helen Dry Cruse. Ann enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the beach, and bowling. She liked spending her spare time antiquing and doing arts and crafts such as drawing and painting. She was a selfless woman who was always there to help anyone in their time of need. Ann loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alton and Helen Cruse; children, Cody Slack and Amanda Forsythe; and her brother, Richard Cruse.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Victor Slack; children, Nan Leger and husband Ross, of Poth, Tucker Slack and wife Lori, of Montgomery, and Tiffany Meade and husband Mark, of Pearland; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Michael Cruse, of Orange and Brenda Patrick, of DeQuincy, LA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Meade, Ross Leger, Chad Cruse, Tommy Hoffpauir, Taylor Stringer, and Johnny Cormier. Honorary pallbearer is Michael Cruse.
