Ella Guillory Broomes, 87, of Orange, died Friday, January 11, 2008 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 14, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Joseph P. Daleo of St. Mary Catholic Church.
Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00-9:00 p.m., Sunday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. A Rosary will begin at 6:00 p.m.
Ella was born on July 16, 1920, in Mamou, LA. She was the daughter of Henry and Isabel Deshotel Guillory. Mrs. Broomes was a homemaker and member of St. Mary Catholic Church, who also enjoyed quilting with her friends at the Thrift and Gift.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd L. Broomes, Sr.; son, Henry Dwayne Broomes; grandson, Eric Broomes; a sister and two brothers.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons and daughters-in-law, Floyd L. Broomes, Jr. and Mary, Arthur Ray Broomes and Donna Marie, and Hal Sebern Broomes and Denise all of Orange; daughter and son-in-law, Donna Faye Alexander and Mike of Hemphill; daughter-in-law, Rosemary Broomes of Orange; ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Byard Hunter, Larry Granger, Doug Broomes, Gary Neie, Dillon Neie, and Rick Partridge.
