Elvern A. Bell, 91, of Orange, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at her home surrounded by loved ones.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Jeff Bell. Burial will follow the service at Evergreen Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Born in Beaumont, Texas, on October 5, 1926, she was the daughter of Joseph William David and Suzanne Theriot. Although Elvern bore no children of her own, she was an inspiration and guide to all of her family. Laughter was a big part of her life. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Suzanne David; her loving husband, Noel Leon Bell in 2002; sisters, Bertie Mae LaBleu, Myrtis Falgout, Mary DeLoach Emmons, and Ethel LeBleu; and her brothers, Elmer David and Billy David.
Those left to cherish her memory include her nieces, Charlotte Larson and husband Wayne, of Flint, Debra Read and husband Kirby, of Orange, Judy Toney and husband Ronnie, of Orange, and Mary Antoon, of Baton Rouge, LA; nephews, Arthur LaBleu and wife Verna Ann, of Orange, Robert David and wife Ruby, of Beaumont, and Rusty DeLoach and wife Annette, of Orange; as well as many other loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Rusty DeLoach, Arthur LaBleu, Ronald Toney, Mann Almaguer, Kirby Read, and Korey Read.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society of Southeast Texas at 2050 Spindletop Ave., Beaumont, TX 77705.
