Erena Rose Peveto

2025 ∼ 2025

Erena Rose Peveto, 21 days, of Orange, Texas, passed away on May 12, 2025, at home with her mom and dad.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Clifton Rankin. Burial will follow at Wilkinson Cemetery.

Born in Beaumont, Texas, on April 21, 2025, she was the daughter of Taylor Peveto and Abigail Peveto (Turner). Although she experienced most of it from the womb, she was very much involved. Erena was a strong little baby; the specialist told us she wouldn’t live to 32 weeks gestation but blew right past his expectations. In fact, she was quite comfy in her mommy’s tummy going until 44 weeks gestation and lived an additional 21 days after she was born. Studies done show that approximately 95% of babies with her condition pass before 8 days, so imagine how blessed her family felt to have 3 whole weeks to hold and love on her. Erena was impatient like her mother, she would flip and kick when she was hungry, she’d flail with joy after eating. When she was in the tummy, she especially liked when she got to have her sweet treat at the end of the day. She demanded ICEEs, restaurant salsa, and toast with peanut butter. And she got a strong case of hiccups every night. The first books her daddy read to her were the Frog and Toad books. Her kick of approval lead us to think that she was particularly fond of The Wind in the Willows. She’s gone to the beach, the zoo, the movie theater and had popcorn drenched in butter. After she was born, she went on lots of walks and loved the warm water of her first bath. Every activity a child would love she did. Erena was never touched by fear, never cold, never alone and most importantly always knew love.

She is preceded in death by her great grandparents, Joe Ben and Dottie Welch, Ruben and Carolyn Stringer, and Frank Turner, Sr.

She is survived by her parents, Taylor and Abby Peveto; grandparents, Rex and Robin Peveto, and David and Debbie Turner; great grandparents, Judy Turner, Wayne and Sandra Peveto; uncles, Justice Peveto, Eli Peveto, Tyler Turner; and numerous other loving family.
