Erik Blake Rigsby, 23, of Orange, was brought to the Lord on the evening of Wednesday, January 22, 2014.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at Cowboy Church on FM 1078 in Orange. A gathering of family and friends will begin one hour prior to the service.
Born in Beaumont on January 27, 1990, Erik was the son of Michael I. Rigsby and Ragena L. (Kress) Rigsby.
Preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph and Eva Kress, Erik is survived by his parents, Michael and Ragena Rigsby; sister, Michele A. Rigsby; and grandparents, Earl and Avis Rigsby.
He spent his childhood in Dayton, Texas and moved to Orange, Texas at the age of 17. He developed an undeniable interest in mechanics from his father from race cars, motorcycles, to ATVs. This is what led him to his jobs as a mechanic, working for Revon Craig (Motorcycleman), and his job as a Painter for Brock Industries.
He was very intelligent and left this life at too young of an age. He will be greatly missed by all and will forever be in our hearts.
Arrangements and cremation was held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

I would like to express my sincere condolences at this time to your family and friend. In times of difficulties people turn to the Bible because it contains very comforting passages. I would like to share a comforting passage. In Revelation 21:4 it states, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry be anymore the former things have past away." It is comforting to know that one day we will live in peace and that death will no longer exist. May Jehovah God bring you strength, peace, and comfort during this difficult time.

Erik's smile was so sweet. It's like you could see his heart when he smiled. Our family will never be the same without Erik. Gone too soon & always in our hearts. We love you.
