Erwine Brewer McGuire

Erwine Brewer McGuire, 76, of Mauriceville, died Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at The Meadows.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 22, 2010, at First Baptist Church in Mauriceville. Officiating will be Reverend Kevin Brown, pastor of First Baptist Church and Reverend E. Dale Lee, pastor of the Cowboy Church of Orange County.

Burial will follow at Jett Cemetery in Orange, under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Born in Orange on January 9, 1934, Erwine was the daughter of Annie Linscomb and Erwin Manuel Brewer and she was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Oeaetta Brewer Boles; brother-in-law, Thomas Lee Boles; nephew, Clyde Brewer McKay and great niece, Mary Moore Harris.

Erwine is survived by her husband, Melvin McGuire of Mauriceville; daughter, Melissa McGuire Davis and her husband, Ricky of Mauriceville; granddaughters, Misty Nance, Mindy Nance Parra and her husband, Jose and great granddaughter, Presley Parra.

Also surviving is her sister, Mary Ann Girlinghouse and her husband, M.J. of Mauriceville; two nieces, one nephew and numerous great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her family, Erwine was blessed with many friends whom she loved dearly.

Serving as pallbearers will be Lance Little, Clayton Drake, Chad Jenkins, Chipper Nance, John Roy Frederick, Ted Williams and Jose Parra.

Honorary pallbearers will be Pete Frederick, E.J. McKay, Ed Moore, Jimmy Jenkins, Ray Linscomb and Clyde "Bubba" Linscomb.
