Etta Elizabeth Trahan, 92, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2008, in Terrell, TX.
Etta was born December 13, 1915, in Eufala, OK, to R. Braxton and Cora Pearl Kimbro Vanderpool. She was a lifelong resident of Orange and homemaker, she enjoyed helping out her friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Roy Trahan; two sisters, Mildred Hatley and Evelyn Atkinson.
She is survived by her loving daughter and son in law, Patricia and Leon Noel of Orange, TX; two grandchildren, Rita Sullivan of Orange, Robert Noel of Georgia; seven great grandchildren, Brittany Noel and Taylor Sullivan of Orange, TX, Angel Noel, Christie Noel and Julie Noel of Indiana, Joshua Noel and Jacob Noel of Georgia; sister Dean McGarity of Duncanville, TX.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 22, 2008, at the temporary location for Claybar Funeral Home in Orange located at 15th and Park in Orange. Reverend Jim Hardwick will officiate. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
