Eugene Davis Wilson, 89, of Beaumont, Texas passed away Tuesday March 29, 2016 at his home. Eugene was born on May 28, 1926 in Altus, Oklahoma to Walter Eugene Wilson and Ethyl Boswell Wilson.
Eugene spent most of his youth in Oklahoma. His father died when he was 10 years old at the height of the Great depression. Eugene got his first job at 13 driving a school bus.
After graduating from Fox high School he joined the Army-Air Corps in 1944 at age seventeen. He served his country in World War II as a Sergeant and gunner where he trained in Alexandria Louisiana to crew on a B-17 aircraft. At 19 he married Lois Brady who was 17.

In recent years he spent time with family and friends. He was an avid historian and loved to read. His library was immense, and a source of great pride.
