Eula Mae Benoit
Eula Mae Benoit, 100, of Porter, Texas, passed away on May 4, 2019, at her care home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 9, 2019, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City, Texas. Officiating will be Father Steve Leger of St. Henry Catholic Church in Bridge City. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange, Texas.

Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m., at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Eula was born October 27, 1918, to Etienne and Theresa (Comeaux) Duhon in Maurice, LA. She married Dennis L. Benoit on December 7, 1941. Together they moved to Texas in 1943 where she worked for the Texas School System as a Cafeteria Cook for 20 years in Bridge City ISD, until she retired in October, 1981.

She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Bridge City.

Eula is survived by her sons, Calvin L. Benoit of Abbeyville, LA, Ted L. Benoit of Conroe; six grandchildren, Theresa Benoit Mouton of Abbeyville, LA, Todd A. Benoit of Orangefield, Daron T. Benoit of Bridge City, Kristi Benoit Brown of Colorado, Heather R. Bergeron of Kingwood, TX and Brent L. Benoit of Houston, TX; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Etienne and Theresa Duhon; husband, Dennis L. Benoit; sister, Lillian Duhon Hartman; and son, Kenneth T. Benoit.

Mrs. Benoit's family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of your choice.
