Euma P. Guidry

Euma P. Guidry, 78, of Bridge City, died Monday, September 28, 2009, at her residence after a short battle with cancer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 2, 2009, at St. Henry Catholic Church in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Steven Leger. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 5:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday, with a Christian Vigil service beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Euma was born on July, 25, 1931, in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. She was the daughter of Louis and Esperance Poche Patin.

Euma loved to bowl and dance. Not only was she an exceptional cook, but a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husbands C.H. Guidry and Eugene Foreman; parents, Louis and Esperance Patin.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Brenda Guidry of Vidor, Dave and June Guidry of San Antonio, Jim and Sherry Guidry of Crosby, Andrew and Penni Guidry of Orangefield; grandchildren, Rachel and Donnie Cobb, Claire Guidry, Charlie Guidry, Jordan Guidry, Julee Ferguson, Cindy and Josh Irvine, Rikki Ferguson, Bryan Guidry, Tyler Guidry, Jamie Guidry, Steven Guidry, Jennifer Guidry, Rae Guidry, Jason Guidry; four great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Eula and Roland Patin of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She will also be sadly missed by many life long friends.

Pallbearers will be Jordan Guidry, Steven Guidry, Bryan Guidry, and Tyler Guidry.

Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Guidry and Jason Guidry.
