Eva Jewel Hollingsworth Simpson
Funeral services, for Eva Jewel Hollingsworth Simpson, 75, of Vidor, Texas, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday August 9, 2007, in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phillip Burnaman officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening beginning at 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Simpson was born on April 7, 1932, to William Jackson and Oma Estelle Hollingsworth in Liberty, Texas and passed away on Saturday, August 4, at home surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Simpson was retired after working for years at Beall?s in Vidor. Among her hobbies was taking care of animals and collecting antiques. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vidor and Eastern Star Lodge #71 in Beaumont. Above all, she loved taking care of her family.
She is survived by her sons William L. Simpson, Jr. of Beaumont, Stuart P. Simpson and his wife, Tammy of Vidor; her daughter, Kellye A. Simpson of Erie, CO.; and two grandchildren, Benjamin P. and Eli T. Simpson. She was predeceased by her parents, her six brothers and one sister.
