Eva Perkins, 92, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on May 16, 2017, at her daughter, Judy’s, home surrounded by loved ones.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 20, 2017, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m., at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Raymond McHenry, of Westgate Memorial Baptist Church in Beaumont. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland, Texas.

Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Born, and raised, in Bunkie, Louisiana, Eva was the daughter of Lumas Ponthier and Alice (Ducote) Ponthier. She was a member of Westgate Memorial Baptist Church in Beaumont. She loved the serenity of her home and enjoyed spending time sewing, gardening, and cooking home-style meals. She was appreciated and loved and will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lumas and Alice; brother, Hilton Ponthier; and sister, Annie “Tuty” Holaway.

Eva is survived by her children, Patrick “Pat” Gilbreath, of Tucson, AZ, Gayle Lineman and husband Danny, of Georgetown; and Judy Juda and husband Luke, of Bridge City; step-grandson, Mike Juda and wife Renee; brother-in-law, G.A. Holaway of Leesville, Louisiana; four nephews; and a niece.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Juda, Mark Holaway, Gordon Holaway, and G.A. Holaway.
