Mrs. Eva Mae Winegeart, 84, passed away Sept. 16, 2017 at her residence in Sour Lake. A service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, Sept, 21, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Claybar Funeral Home in Beaumont with a gathering of family and friends held on Wednesday from 5-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
A native and lifelong resident of Sour Lake, Mrs. Winegeart was born Dec. 17, 1932 to the late Alva A. and Nancy Clark Richardson and graduated from Sour Lake High School. Before her retirement, Mrs. Winegeart was a longtime sales representative for Stanley and Watkins Products and was a member of First Baptist Church of Sour Lake.
Mrs. Winegeart was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Phillip Winegeart; grandson, Daniel Winegeart; daughter-in-law, Diane Winegeart; son-in-law, Franklin Robinson Sr. and grandson Franklin Robinson, Jr. She is survived by children, Phyllis Rhodes and her husband Mike, Eva Provost and her husband Mike, David Winegeart; and numerous grand, great, and great-great grandchildren. Also survived by her brother, Al Richardson Sr. and sister-in-law, Janet Richardson.
The family would like to thank all the people who have helped in caring for Mrs. Winegeart over the past few years; the nursing staff of AMED Health Care and Hospice and Dr. James Slayton. A special thank you goes to granddaughter Connie.
