Eve LaTaine Mullins, 66, of Crystal Beach, Texas lost her battle with cancer on August 20, 2020, at her residence in Crystal Beach.
Born in Kirbyville, Texas on October 19, 1953, she was the daughter of Maxie Buckner and Betty Jo (Walker). She was a 1972 graduate of Beaumont High School and went on to graduate from the University of North Texas with a degree in Art. Later she worked as a special education teacher for Kountze Independent School District for over 20 years. She enjoyed teaching and helping shape the minds of her students. LaTaine enjoyed arts and crafts, spending time at the beach with her family and friends, tending to her flowers and caring for her dogs.She rescued many animals over the years. More than anything, LaTaine loved her daughter Kelsey and granddaughter Jacey. She always had a smile on her face and her laughter was contagious. She was a jovial and positive woman that will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Forrest Mullins and her parents Maxie Buckner and Betty Jo (Walker).
She is survived by her daughter, Kelsey Eshliman and her husband James Eshliman of Beaumont; grandchild, Jacey Rayne Eshliman; furbabies, Riley Ray and Molly Mae as well as numerous family and friends.
Cremation is under the direction of Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.
The memorial will be Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 11:00 am. It will be held at her home, 3217 Castle Drive, Crystal Beach, Texas.
