It is with saddened hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved Mother, Evelyn McCloud on October 12, 2010 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas.
Mother was born on August 30, 1920 in Coles County, Illinois to Jesse and Myrle McDaniel. She married her life's partner Paul J. McCloud on November 16, 1939 in Brazil, Indiana. They shared the love of their three daughters, Judith Kay, Myrna Joyce, and Priscilla Lynette.
Mother was met at Heaven's door by her Mother and Father, her husband Paul, her daughter Judy, and grandson Jeffrey Giles.
Mother's greatest love was her family and her church, Christian Fellowship Worship Center. Her joy was in sending greeting cards to all of her many friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughters, Myrna DeFrisco of Destrehan, Louisiana, and Pris Drawhorn of Nederland, Texas. She was a loving and caring Grandmother to 13, Great-Grandmother to 12, and Great-Great Grandmother to nine.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home Thursday, October 14th from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
She will remain in our hearts and the arms of the Lord.
