Evelyn 'Sue' Furlough, 85, of Orange, died, Friday, January 25, 2008, at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Orange.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 28, 2008, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Reverend Barry Bradley of First Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
Sue was born August 20, 1922, in Mittie, LA, the daughter of Archie and Lydia Wright Caskey.
Sue was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Orange. She worked in the shipyard during WWII and retired from Equitable Bag Co., where she was a machine operator for 29 years.
She enjoyed reading, gardening and was an excellent cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Furlough; brothers, Norman, Steve and Joe Caskey.
She is survived by her children, Raymond Sparks and wife Karen of Tucson, AZ, Marjorie Morgan and husband Willie of Orange, Vickie Loupe and husband Glen of Oviedo, FL and stepdaughter, Sandra Van Pelt and husband James of Mauriceville; grandchildren, Danny, Bobby and Michael Van Pelt, Dr. Kimberly Sparks, Angela McGreevy, Chrissy Babcock, Tammy Garmon, Lorie Everitt and Amanda Loupe; fourteen great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Thomas M. Caskey, Adeline Boudreaux and Lillie Tilley all of Mittie, LA.
Serving as pallbearers will be Milton Babcock, Jeff Garmon, Jason Everitt, James Van Pelt, Justin Babcock, Jordan Babcock and T. J. McGreevy.
