Fannie Mae Clem, 88, was born April 25, 1926 in Gravel Hill, Sabine County, TX to Charles and Madgie (Palmer) Conn and passed away June 23, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Clem was a lady of great energy who loved and enjoyed life to its fullest. Even in her later years, she enjoyed square dancing, round dancing, and line dancing as well as playing golf. Keeping up with her was a challenge for all who knew her. She worked in the insurance department at St. Elizabeth Hospital and also continued her education and obtained a teaching degree.
Mrs. Clem is survived by her son, Clyde Middleton; her daughter, Dianne Mitchell; grandchildren, Vanessa Zambrana, Donovan Yancey, Amy Curtis and Holly Clark and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clyde (CA) Middleton, her second husband, Robert G. Clem; her brothers, Ray, Jimmy and Charles ‘Blue Boy’ Conn; her sister, Leslie Ellison and her grandson, Eric Giltner.
A memorial service will be July 3, 2014 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at Idylwild Golf Club, 1100 Pine Shadows Drive, off Hwy 105, Sour Lake, TX.
